NEW! inReach Mini
The inReach Mini is a new option for folks looking to save some money, weight, and packing space. It is basically like the regular InReach unit, minus the built-in mapping functionality. It can send pre-set messages, as well as custom messages, though the on-board keyboard system is not too easy to use. Generally, customers using the Mini will want to pair it with the Garmin app on their smartphone, so they can use a bigger keyboard, and also use their downloaded Garmin maps.
inReach Explorer+
With an easy-to-use menu interface and a virtual keyboard, the inReach Explorer+ allows you to send and receive text messages over a mobile satellite connection. Messages can be sent to and received from any cell phone number or email contact. Also includes SOS functionality for back and forth communications with a search and rescue monitoring center. The Explorer+ has navigation hardware and program that includes route planning and color-coded waypoints. You can use the Explorer map view to view navigation and waypoint details overlaying topographical maps.
